Beer contains no cholesterol, although it does have antioxidant qualities that can reduce LDL oxidation, with may help reduce your risk of heart disease. Beer is also an excellent source of fiber, stemming from the malted barley. Beer can also help to reduce stress, if you drink it in moderation.

To get the health benefits that beer provides, you should drink one beer a day. You shouldn’t drink any more than this, as it can easily lead to health problems. Alcohol will thin out your blood, which will protect your heart and reduce the risk of strokes as well. In the past, research has even shown moderate consumption of alcohol can help with improving your memory as well. Then again, if you drink it excessively, it can destroy brain cells - the adverse effect.

Beer is also nutritious, although it can destroy your levels of vitamin C as well. Beer is a great source of fiber, as well as other minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, and several B vitamins such as B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, and B12. Beer contains high levels of these vitamins, along with other minerals that are actually good for your body. Although it offers plenty of B vitamins and other minerals your body needs, it will also destroy your vitamin C - which is why you never want to drink too much of it.

When it all comes down to it, beer may contain over 95% water, yet it is still a diuretic. Due to the fact that beer contains alcohol, it will always be a diuretic. When you drink beer, you should avoid drinking too much and never, ever, drink beer instead of water. Beer can dehydrate your body fairly quickly, which is one of the biggest cons to drinking beer. Although beer does have several health benefits, they can easily be hindered by drinking too much. To stay on the safe side and avoid headaches and other health effects of beer, you should always drink responsibly, never drink too much - and always drink a few glasses of water when you are drinking beer.

I have some pretty vivid memories of the sleeper sofa from when I was a kid. My sister and I would always had to sleep on it whenever grandma came over to the house, and we never really looked forward to the experience. The thing was ancient. It was one of those old, collapsible folding beds. They had none of the elegance of modern sleeper sofas. Instead, it was made out of thick metal that would dig in to your back through the mattress, awkward springs, and jagged edges that would always nick you when you were folding or unfolding it. I would always end up with a backache after the first night, and there would be no way to get comfortable. Often, I would sleep on the floor just to avoid that bed.

It still baffles me why it took people so long to come up with a modern sleeper sofa design. The sleeper sofa that we have in our living room is practically as comfortable as our mattress bed. It is an extremely simple design. Basically, it is somewhere halfway between a couch and a futon. Rather than using heavy, hidden metal mechanisms, it uses lightweight wood components to fold down and up. You can set it up in a minute, and put it away just as quickly.

I have to say that it was a great investment. Before we got a sleeper sofa, we had to keep a bunch of extra mattresses around. You see, I am a musician, and as such I always have people coming through town. I play with a lot of different guys who like to stay over at the house to save money on hotel rooms. Back in the day, we would have to keep a store of cheap single mattresses in the basement. Every time the guys were coming over, we would haul them out and cover the living room with them. Nowadays, between the sleeper sofa and the futon, we don't have to do any of that. Both of them are perfectly functional as daytime furniture, and easily convert into beds at night.

If you are living with a limited amount of space, I highly recommend a sleeper sofa bed. All of my friends who live in small apartments swear by them, because they allow them to have a couch and a bed at the same time. From the point of view of trying to maximize your available space, it just makes more sense.




All about sleeping disorders



Many people I know can fall asleep in the middle of a well lit room with the television going. I don’t know how they do it. I have to have darkness, and I have to have the sound of a fan going. If the television is on, my mind struggles to stay awake to see what will happen next. It’s simply impossible for me to fall asleep that way, and to sleep well. A fan is great because it masks noises that might wake me up. Having darkness is often a problem, so that is why I use a sleep mask.

When I first thought I might like to have a sleep mask, I had a harder time finding one than I thought I would. There was no such thing as the Internet then (at least in my house), and if there had been, my search would have been easy. You can find them all over the Internet now, and you can usually be very choosy about what you want to get because there are so many out there. When I was looking for one, I had to find one in the stores. I thought they would be common, but for some reason, I could not find one.

The first sleep mask that I got was made of gel and you could see right through it. I had told my mom that I was looking for one, and I guess she thought that any one would do. This type of sleep mask is not meant to keep the light out, but rather, to help with dark circles under the eyes. The gel should go into the refrigerator (or freezer) to get cold, and that cold will then help keep the black circles from forming, or will help them go away. She meant well, but it was not what I was looking for.

I finally found one that was mean to shield the eyes, but it did not fit on my head very well. It was more for looks than anything, and really didn’t fit like it was made for the real purpose for which they are intended. I am guessing it was more of a fun gift item than something made to ensure the quality of sleep. When you buy a sleep mask, the tie behind the head should not pinch, but might a little. You can get used to that within a few nights. More importantly, it should cover adequately so that no light can sneak in to interrupt your sleep if that is what you need to rest well. Luckily, they are not that expensive, and are much easier to find now, at least for me. That means if one sleep mask does not work, buying another to try is not that much of a trial or an expense.

If a burglar sets his mind to something and has a plan in mind, simply locking your windows and doors isn’t enough.

If you have sturdy and strong doors and windows on your home, it will take the burglar extra time to break in. In the process, he can easily get caught due to the high level of noise he will make trying to get into the home. If you have a lot of valuables in your home, you can always invest in a strong fireproof safe to store them in. To protect the exterior of your home you should have always have good lighting in your yard.

Alarms are popular to use as well, as most will go off the second a burglar tries to open a window or a door. They are very popular these days, providing a high level of security for your home. Alarms and surveillance systems include a variety of detectors, control panels, alarms, and cameras. Although they may cost you a bit of money – the peace of mind and safety of your family is more than worth the investment.

No matter what area you may live in, you can always secure your home. To better secure your home and know what equipment you need, you should always try and understand the frame of mind that burglars use. This way, you’ll know what you need to protect your home. Home security is a common issue these days and for good reason. With crime steadily on the rise – protecting your home, your family, and your belongings becomes more and more important.

To be an effective Nursing Assistant, you must have excellent communication skills. You will be communicating throughout your daily activities with patients, their family and friends, and an array of medical staff. You will work directly with the Nursing staff. This will be a very important area to develop strong relationships in. You will also be communicating with physicians, X-Ray technicians, lab staff, surgery units, and emergency services. Therefore, it is very important that you continually work on your communication style and effectiveness. Your job will be much easier if you are able to establish good relationships with other staff members.

As a Nursing Assistant, you will be overseen by the Nursing staff. They will depend on your to report accurate information on patient charts. You need to be sure you are documenting what they ate and how much, their vital signs, and any changes you notice. If you think something requires immediate attention from a Nurse, then you need to be able to communicate that message effectively. You also need to feel comfortable going to the Nursing staff for assistance and questions as the need arises.

Since Nursing Assistants have far more one on one interactions with patients, other staff often depends on their observations to assist them. It is very common for Nurses and Doctors to ask the Nursing Assistant about sudden changes in a patient’s behavior. Therefore, paying attention to detail is very important. You will want to pay attention to your instincts that something is wrong and report it immediately to the proper staff member.

In the ideal working environment, Nursing Assistants are valued for their contributions to the medical field. They are respected by the other staff and informed of changes and important decisions. However, in many medical facilities, Nursing Assistants are frustrated because they feel they aren’t in the loop. The often complain of being left in the dark as to what is taking place among other staff members. The biggest complaint is with the Nurses.

Nursing Assistants claim that when they have tried to explain patient information to Nursing staff, they are dismissed as if they aren’t credible because they don’t have the education to determine such information. They also feel that they report all changes to the medical staff, yet no one is reporting changes to them about the patient such as new medications or a new diet. This can be very frustrating for Nursing Assistants. This kind of issue can lead to a divided work staff who aren’t working together in the best interest of the patients.

There are five ways employers can work with staff to eliminate such issues. Enforcing these goals will allow medical staff to develop better relationships on an ongoing basis, providing better care for patients. It often helps with the moral of the staff as well. Everyone should get a brief overview of what the other medical staff is responsible to do. Too often one group of people feel they do more than another because they just aren’t aware of everything that particular job description entails. This will help staff members value the work of others more. Asking Nursing Assistants for their input and opinion often builds relationships with other staff because they feel part of the overall care process for patients. Recognize the talents of each other and your abilities. This will help balance out strengths and weaknesses, enabling all staff to provide better quality care to patients. It is important to be supportive of other medical staff, not just those with the same title as you. Nurturing new staff is also very important. They need to feel as if they are part of the team from the minute they enter the door on their first day of work.

The relationships Nursing Assistants develop with other staff are very important. This starts will realizing your own communication style, and improving your communication skills. It may also require you to address issues with administration to develop ways for communications among the medical staff to improve. Be ready to offer ideas to make it happen when you approach administration. With the overall goal being to provide excellent care for all patients, communication that works well for everyone is a great place to start.

This is because this new ban means that a large number of items are now only allowed in bags that will be checked upon arrival at the airport. For skincare, these items include hand lotions, hand sanitizers, and moisturizing creams. These items are the safest and most convenient to have when snacking aboard an airplane.


As you can easily see, there are an unlimited number of products, with a gel or liquid base, that you must place in your checked baggage. However, there are a few exceptions to this new air travel rule. When it comes to drinks, the only drinks, allowed on the airplane with you and other travelers is infant formula or milk based products for babies. While you can bring these items onboard, there is a good chance that they will be closely examined.

Another exception includes eye care products and medications. You are allowed to bring liquid medication onboard an airplane with you, as long as the medication is prescribed to you. Airport security will likely verify that your name matches the name on the prescription bottle. You can also bring onboard other non prescription products, including those needed for eye care; however, they must be no larger than four ounces in size. These items may include saline solution and eye drops.

By keeping the above mentioned information in mind, you should be able to prepare for your flight without having to be worried about airport security checkpoints. As long as you properly pack you bags, you shouldn’t experience any problems with airport security.
